Jenna B. graduated from The Athletic Rider Fitness Boot Camp in August, and she wanted to share her amazing transformation story.  Jenna is still going strong with daily accountability in our post-graduate Facebook group. Not only has Jenna made fitness and healthy food choices a part of her daily routine, but she has slo joined my incredible group of coaches, called Team Dark Horse. Jenna is consistent, positive and simply adorable! I am so proud of what she has done and even more excited to walk beside her as she pays fitness forward in the days and years to come!

Jenna B., in her own words:

I recently graduated from a 60 day Athletic Rider Fitness Boot Camp, and I am so happy that I did it!  When I started on my fitness journey, I was tired and weak and prone to back pain. I was having a hard time keeping up with my four horses and especially my restart project  thoroughbred.  I decided I needed to do something about it and came across one of Leah’s articles on rider fitness online via Horsenation. Her tips and advice seemed sound and were easy to understand. I liked her straightforward approach and the fact that she was a certified personal trainer as well as a rider and horsewoman. I thought ” this is exactly what it need” and went to her website to get more info. What I found was not only a wealth of fitness and nutrition information, but free downloads of sample workouts! I chose two to try and began following those for a couple weeks. They were great…I was hooked and wanted more! I decided to commit to a boot camp so I would have a goal and follow through with it.

I had no idea how a virtual fitness program could work but I figured the only way to find out was to try it. All I can say is WOW! Mind blown!  The support and accountability of the group in a private setting combined with an excellent workout program (Piyo for me) and nutrition guidance = great results and an amazingly positive experience. Leah is an awesome coach and her boot camps are fun, engaging and get results! The boot camp format is flexible and convenient for busy schedules (no running around town to gym and/or studio classes)-yet keeps you on track for your fitness goals.  Not to mention you will meet some pretty great people.

In 60 days I transformed my body by losing inches off my waist and hips as well as sculpted and strengthened my arms, legs and core. I have greatly improved my flexibility and balance and reduced my back pain and my chances of re-injuring my back. Oh and I’ve also shed about 8 lbs. I didn’t have a lot of weight to lose, but I was pretty out of shape. Flabby with no strength or endurance. Boot camp has totally upgraded my quality of life by making fitness a habit and priority.  A major component of that is eating right and Leah’s guidance (including recipes) has been incredibly helpful. I thought I was making pretty good food choices before so I had no expectations of changing my eating habits.  Boy did I get schooled!  Lots of gradual changes daily and now I am fueling my body with what it needs…and loving it! Eating right doesn’t mean boring tasteless “diet” food.

My fitness journey continues and I am so thankful for being led to Leah and Athletic Rider Boot Camp.  I feel amazing…thanks Leah. You rock 🙂
