Ok maybe not literally BUT if the only cardio training you are doing is a easy walk with your dog, you body will eventually plateau…so you will need to go farther OR increase the intensity. The same is true if you only do the same 5 mile run each time you run at the same pace and intensity.

Considering most riders are already time pressed, the idea of graduating into a several hour walk or run to keep our bodies improving (or at the very least maintaining) is not only unattractive but just not feasible. Instead ask your rider fitness trainer to design a program that includes Interval Training so you can get the best benefits from your complete rider fitness program.
